Charity Event Entertainent in Manchester Phil & Colin's Trek for Unicef

They wanted to organise an event that would be a bit different, not just a disco but something a bit more. Phil had seen Pier Fun Casinos before and had kept our card, he had been keen to organise a fun casino and when he touted the idea to friends and family, they thought this would be a great night and could raise lots of money for their Charity "UNICEF", this organisation has been working since 1946 to protect child's rights. Children who are orphans or have been abandoned or neglected by their families are especially vulnerable to abuse.

Colin told us "Having never done anything like this before, we both thought it would be good to do something for charity and having seen celebrity walks, etc over the last few years, we both thought that this would be a good way to not only raise money for a charity but to also set ourselves a challenge and see a part of the world that we probably never would".

The Boothstown British Legion offered to hold the function for free, then the call was made to Pier Fun Casinos, Wigan to organise the event, we were delighted to be part of such a worthwhile event, and with the minimum of fuss the booking was made. Phil booked our 3 Casino package which included Black Jack, Roulette and Stud Poker, over the weeks leading up to the event we went out to have a look at the venue, together with Phil we designed the money and helped him work out how best to make the most of the Fun Casino.

We heard from Phil the day after the event "The night was FANTASTIC and that sentiment is not just felt by Colin and me but also by all the people I have spoken to since. The croupiers made everyone feel relaxed and welcome at the tables and everyone felt they got value for money. We had a raffle on the night with the prizes donated by local businesses as a result of us writing to everyone and we also had a quiz which people paid to enter".
